She recently came out with a book, “Imagine It Forward: Courage, Creativity, and the Power of Change.” Beth told me what she was like before she got her own point of view. She remembers her boss saying, “Why do I even have you in these meetings? You don’t say anything. I expect you to show up more.” So she did. She started doing her homework. That’s when she realized they hired her for a reason. And she needed to get out of her own way.
